Nassau - Paradise Island

We both woke up stiff and sore this morning.  Although the waves were fairly small, 7 hours of even a little pounding takes it's toll on older knees.  The day began with some showers so we took our time having breakfast, then Katy cut my hair.

The sun came out shortly after noon and we walked the couple of blocks over to Atlantis to check it out.  It is an impressive resort and, with the waterpark and aquariums, lagoons, etc, it would definately be a great family destination.

Here's a shot of the marina..

One of several lagoon views from the lobby and lounge areas.

A leopard shark swims by..

And a manta ray..

There are caves around some of the lagoons and a tunnel through the "predator" lagoon that was neat.  A view of the lagoons topside...

These people look familiar...

We decided to have dinner at the marina restaurant, my first cracked conch this trip...  Yum!!!

And of course the obligatory sunset shot...

Tomorrow we leave for Allen's Cay, the northern part of the Exumas.  We are both ready to anchor and get into some clear, warm water.
