Georgetown to Charlestown

We pulled away from the dock at Georgetown about 10 a.m. under sunny skies and light breezes.  Most of the trip to Charlestown is across low country.  This is why it's called "Low" country:

For much of the way, we had an entourage.

We spotted our first "wild" palm trees.

Entering Charlestown harbor, we pass Fort Sumter.  The channel has been named "Rebellion Channel"

We tie up at the Charlestown City Marina on the Ashley River.  Once again we feel like a dingy next to the large ships.  The cruise ship on the other side of the dock:

On the other side, an EPA ship:

After the "usuals" we pulled out the grill and cooked some chicken breasts for a chicken and avocado salad.
